NAINA Awards & Scholarships: Call for nominations coming soon!!!

The National Association of Indian Nurses of America (NAINA) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for awards and scholarships to be presented at NAINA’s 10th Biennial Conference 2026. These awards recognize the outstanding contributions of nurses and NAINA chapters across various categories, celebrating excellence in leadership, scholarship, innovation, and service to the community.

Purpose:
NAINA awards and scholarships honor nurses and chapters who exemplify professional excellence, compassionate care, leadership, and dedication to advancing nursing practice and healthcare equity. These awards provide an opportunity to recognize extraordinary individuals and teams whose work impacts patients, communities, and the profession.

Eligibility – Nominee:

• Must be a current and active NAINA member or chapter
• Contributions may include excellence in patient care, leadership, research, education, community service, or advocacy

Eligibility – Nominator:

• May be NAINA members, colleagues, patients, family members, or other professionals familiar with the nominee’s contributions
• Must have permission from the nominee to provide their information, photograph, and biography for submission

Application Requirements:

• Complete the online application form by August 1, 2026
• For individual awards: Attach a narrative (≤200 words), a photo, and a short biography
• For chapter awards: Attach a narrative (≤200 words), supporting documents, photos, and any audio-visual materials demonstrating impact and excellence

Consent:

• Submission implies permission for NAINA to use materials, photos, and bios for publicity, illustration, or web content
• All entries become the property of NAINA and will not be returned

Exclusion Criteria:

• Incomplete or late submissions
• Falsified or misrepresented documents
• Submissions not formatted according to instructions

Award Period: August 2025 – June 2026

Deadline for Submission: August 1, 2026
